Red Bull Airrace

Visiting the Red Bull Airrace in Budapest, fascinating! Hoping to join this great sport in some years.

Back in Austria

Crossing the border to Austria again! Back in home airspace, traditionally opening a can of RED BULL

Thanks

Big thanks to my girlfriend Anja, who is supporting me at every contest

Closing ceremony

Today, the others are the winners. 1st Daniel Ryfa, 2nd Anton Berkutov, 3rd Simon Fick. Congratulations to the winners. Patrick makes 34th place. Altogether better than any expectations but a place under the best 20 was possible. "Shit happens, I'm looking forward and after this contest I know I can compete with the best of Europe" Patrick commented after the closing ceremony, again having a smile on his face.

Contest completed

A little bit disappointed after my last flight. Only place 35 after 2 big mistakes in the competition flight. Need some sport to become clear of my mind again.

Support from Austria

Friends from Austria visiting me during the contest, what a surprise. Here with Kurt and Marco. Thanks guys for support.

After three flights

Happy again, place 28 after three competition flights, very good mid result for the first international contest. Qualified for the final unknown.

1st flight

Happy after first contest flight place 19

Preparing for contest

Relaxing before the flight in our Team tent, looks easy but work will start in a few minutes

European Championship Poland

Arriving at the European Championship in Poland. Here at the opening ceremony. Austrian National Team composed of Patrick. 19 countries, 49 pilots

Save place for EXTRA

Some years ago MIG fighters have been saved in this shelters, now my aircraft. Thanks to the Red Bull crew around Wojtek for the support.

Strasser main attraction at Kolobrzeg Air Festival

Patrick was the main attraction at the Ed Bull Air Festival at Kolobrzeg, putting on impressive displays of high precision aerobatic flying at Kolobrzeg and Jastarnia over the coastline to the baltic sea. "It was fantastic fun", Patrick commented after the flights. "Poland was real fun and I would love to come back here in the future"

Airshow Poland

From Germany direkt to an Airshow in Poland, 2 hour flight, Kolobrzeg. Landing at an old military airfield, called Bagicz. Thousands of people where waiting there for my performance, great experience. After landing suddenly there was a crowed of people around me and my aircraft

Final Result

Final Result: 12th place out of 19 competitors, not so bad, some little mistakes in flight but looking forward for the European Championship in Poland.

Contest flights

Preparing for the first contest flights.

Arriving at the German championships, so much luggage in such a little plane.

Visiting friends

Visiting my friends on their holidays in Vrsar, Croatia. Only 45 minutes with my plane from home. Had a nice time there. Good to relax before the championships will start.
